So I bought a guitar today, somewhat of an impulse buy. I saw it the other day when I was looking in town at the vintage shop. It's a Epiphone Les Paul Junior '57 Reissue. Equipped with a bigsby....that was the kicker for me.

After having loan of an original '59 TV model I knew I wanted a Jr, but couldn't see myself spending 1K+ on a new guitar, and could never afford a vintage one. I like the way the epiphone feels, has the big neck I like, its a set neck of course, so no, its not one of those crappy Junior Models they have. It's setup great, plays excellent, and hey, its a P90. It's got the sound down. Solid mahogany body and neck. It was only made for one year. Also its labeled as Epiphone Custom Shop.

One cool thing about it is the guy that had it before me seemed to have set it up as a player. The back of the neck was refinished/sanded down to remove that glassy finish, so now its nice and smooth, really nice feeling.
Also after reading up on it, it was originally equipped with a P100, I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure this is a replaced P90, also saw people raising up the pickup so it gets closer to the strings.........he's done that too, its nicely done added a spacer, can't really see it unless you look right up at it. So yeah, this has all the slight mods that make it that much more of a player, I'm really happy with it. Especially for what I got it for $ wise.
