I've recently been looking at upgrading my old little Vintage V100 after a few years of decent service and want to make sure I buy the right thing!

I play mainly early-indie rock type stuff (pretty generic!) - massive Oasis, Smiths & Jam fan and so figured a semi acoustic might be the right way to go. I would like some the flexibility from that kind of sound, however.

And its got to look just as good as it sounds.

As I guess anyone who's ever heard Noel Gallagher play, I've checked out some Epiphone Dots and Casinos. I love them, I think they're great, but is it really that simple? Is that the best way to spend £400 on a guitar that'll have to last through light gigging for a good few years?

I'm no expert, help me out if you can! Much appreciated!

Tom

Try an epiphone semi-acoustic like this: http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Guitars/Electric_Guitars/Electric_Guitars/p1020.aspx (sounds great)

Vintage - http://www.ivormairants.co.uk/store/product.php?productid=216 or

http://www.gear4music.com/inventory-detail/index/?int_product_id=7877&gad=COO_5foBEgjUTSM1_6-iXBi0mZL_AyDfv5AR

Hope that helps
