This is a Chuck Gurney build (Fat Bottom Mics), which makes it a Pro Player's harp mic of the highest order. This is the Shure 440 Silver Bullet with a cloth CM dated 1961, and it is hot. A volume control and screw-on connector have been added for your plug and play convenience.
Here it is through a vintage Silvertone 1432 amp hooked together with a Fender Bassman.

A nice vintage 12-string, LeadBelly/Blind Willie McTell-style.
Just bought this cool acoustic on eBay and have fixed it up a bit, now it plays ok but it needs some more work later on, gotta find me something to adjust the truss-rod with..
And I don't like the sunburst on this one.. I'm gonna make it all brown soon..!!
These were sold as Stella's as well and many other brands. Solid birch in the body!
Ladder bracing gives it awesome projection, here I use 0.10's and I'm tuned down to C!!!! Feels like playing on spaghetti but I like the sound, LoL!
Gonna tune it to open D and see what happens..

This thing has unbelievable tone, and a built in cable. Use the element for a different shell, or just use it as is. Sounds great!

A true classic! The EV 630 was introduced in the 50s and set the standard for years to come as a PA, radio, and general use dynamic sporting the patented AcoustAlloy element that is still in use today. This is the Hi-Z version, and comes complete with the very scarce cable. Plug and play vintage beauty with a nice dirty tone. Smaller in diameter than a Shure bullet, and has an on/off switch.

A great 60s space age design from ElectroVoice, but also a slamming harp mic with an on/off switch and a stock 5/8" screw on connector. You can't go wrong with this one.

One of the burningest harp mics around is the American D-4-T. This one is made in Los Angeles (as oppposed to Pasadena). I don't know which is older. I do know that this mic is crushingly loud, and has a huge, fat, nasty tone. Perfect for amplified blues harmonica. Stock 5/8" screw-on connector. Ready to gig.

This is a video of a vintage Sears & Roebuck Silvertone Compact Stereo System from the years of yore. I got this system back in '98 when I was a Freshman in High School. Unfortunately the original speakers were lost in a house fire in 2000. Too bad the microphone on the camera SUCKS. It simply doesn't do this old receiver justice! The sound this baby puts out is heavenly. Highs are crisp and clean, mids are strong and projecting, and the bass is amazingly strong. Unfortunately the camera didn't pick that up during the MP3 test portion of the video. The bass hits in the song were strong enough even at low volume to where you could feel it on your chest! Crappy camera!!!

Here is one of those great little vintage Japanese Dynamic tape recorder mics that make such great harp mics. This one is from Akai. Heavy duty cabling compared to most mics of this ilk. Great sound! Gritty harp tone!

Here is a great Astatic JT-30 shell from the 70s paired with a hot Shure CM element from the same decade. New wiring, gasket, built by mic master Jeremy Snell. Fantastic harp mic. Simple, dependable, rocking.
