Vintage Ibanez Tube Screamer. (1984)?

I have a 1984 original Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9. It is not a re-issue (Silver label, no CE mark, serial number 404xxx, grey battery clip, green dipped resisters)

It is unboxed and fully working despite having a few chips on the paint. It has not been modded.

I am thinking about ebaying it, and I am wondering what it is worth?

There are lots of re-issues and modded boxes on there, but I can't find any originals.

Any ideas?

Well, a brand new one would go for about $99. I am not certain how much the vintage tag would add to it, if anything. I would tend to doubt that the value would raise because of it. If it sounds awesome, I would just keep it screamin'.

I will be buying a marshall amp soon, but witch one....
I play mainly shred, metal, satch and paul gilbert style, but i would also like to be able to get some randy rhoads or zakk wylde tones aswell, i have an ibanez rg2550z and a boss sd-1 mxr distortion + morley volume and a crybaby
The amp choise is between the:
Marshall Vintage Modern
Marshall 1923 85th birthday limited edition
maby another if you can suggest on please
thanks :D

If you can afford to buy Marshall, you may want to look at a better amp, such as Mesa Boogie or Hughes and Kettner (sp?). And if you want to go really metal, go with Krank Amplification. That really rocks.
Marshall is good, but pretty overpriced simply because of its name. And with a vintage style head, you may have a hard time getting those great metal sounds. Marshall had an amp out for a while just for metal, but I can't find it anymore. I think they discontinued it.
I went down this same road a couple of years ago. I used Musician's Friend because they have such a great return policy. I could try an amp, and if I didn't like it, I could send it back.
Whichever amp you choose, make sure it is a tube amp and doesn't have a bunch of digital effects built in. They will ruin your sound. Some people really like Line 6, but it has waaay too much digital stuff built in. So I would avoid that.
Do your research and good luck.

i think they are ok guitars, but they arent the best on my opinion by a long shot. here's why.

Gibson - they are way overpriced. They are good guitars, but they arent worth 2500 bucks. I would think about buying a les paul if it was like 600, but its not even worth that much. they are also 5 piuunds or so more than any other guitar i have used. and, on top of all that, everyone i know wants one like its their life dream!

Fender - I am not as critical about these guys. they are cheaper priced, but their quality has gone down in the passing years. now a good majority of rtheir guitars are made in mexico and to my stanards many of them barely pass as a starter guitar. i do like the telecaster series-the ones with the humbucker pickups, not singles. i do not like that everyone thinks this is the best brand out there.

now i have to admit the vintage guitars from eachof these brands are probably amazing. i have not tried a vintage but i hear a lot of good stuff about them.

anyway what would I reccomend? i have never had a bad experience with an ibenez guitars (aside from the starter guitar, or the gio series (same thing)) they are made solid and as long as you dont throw it against a wall or anything the paint job wont chip. i reccomend this guitar, and i can honestly say that is the best guitar i have ever played.

the only problem with that guitar is the middle pickup gets in the way, but thats the way i play.

this link works, not the other one.

i really dont like either of those companies. ibanes is pretty aweosme, i love them.

i dont like deans either, i bought one and it was a piece of crap...and i spent 1300 on it!

Which of these is the best guitar?

I tend to like SG's but would not mind an Ibanez, Les Paul, Washburn, or something like that. I've got a price range of $300- 400. I already have an Epiphone g-310 SG with gold hardware and Gibson '57 humbucker in the bridge, but am looking for a backup axe in case something happens to it. I DO NOT WANT A BLUESY GUITAR LIKE A STRAT!!!

I have the following in mind:
an Epi SG g-400 Vintage (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Vintage-G-400-Electric-Guitar-102488731-i1150101.gc)
an Ibanez RG3EXFM1 (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-RG3EXFM1-Electric-Guitar-104831474-i1400085.gc)
Epi Les Paul Special 2 Sunburst (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Special-II-Electric-Guitar-100001870-i1149986.gc)
Or a used Epi SG g-400 Deluxe (http://used.guitarcenter.com/usedgear/details.cfm?listId=104965013)
%

get a decent acoustic and that's going to open up a whole new world for you,. but if you want to stay electric get the SG since you seem to like it better. at the end of the day its your guitar that your playing and you gota like it
