I was told by a luthier that my guitar was probably a "Kay" or
"Harmony" archtop, circa late 40's, but am unable to verify it
as the decal has long since disappeared from the headstock.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

i am 18 and we've been dating for a year. this would be a gift for both christmas and our year anniversary because they're only a week apart. a used guitar costs 0 + and new guitars of this kind start around 0.

Am on holiday in Canada from UK next year, Don't want a guitarless fortnight! Don't like the Martin backpacker. Would love Ovation trekker but seem to be unavailable in UK, possibly out of production in US.

I am checking out these guitars on Ebay in perfect condition with the price reduced from around 0 to 0. I have heard mixed reviews on both the Gibson and Epiphone model of these guitars, but like the sound of them. I was wondering how good the pickups are, if they go out of tune easily, the overall quality of these guitars, ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a 1978 Les Paul Standard. My father is the original owner and he barely touches it, so it is mint condition. Thanks!

I recently bought a vintage 335 copy bass guitar. it has a PHAT pickup right below the neck (it's about the size of a boss pedal) and besides the 335 style body is one of the reasons I bought the guitar.
but after trying to play it during a gig, i noticed that only the A string and D string pick up at normal volume, the E and G strings are really quiet. I had to crank up the volume AND the the bass to get any reasonable level out of the E string and it just sounded horrible.
I've already spent a reasonable amount getting this old girl gig-ready (luthier, new flatwounds, mean vintage strap etc) so I dont want to spend too much more at my rip-off luthiers just for them to charge me and not actually do anything. I also really don't want to have to replace the pickup (or at least not the outer shell, I could probably swap over some electrics underneath as long as it still provides a phat sound... i dunno much about this kinda stuff) so what do you thin kthe problem could be?
the strings are flat and the pickup is flat

I saw a vintage guitar the other day. I can't seem to find it, but I remember the first letters of the brand was:
Wur.....
He said something about them specializing in organs and stuff. It was an acoustic guitar, had an arch top on the back, (Simular to the Gibson Les Paul Arch tops, but this one was on the back instead of the front.)
Double skunk-stripes on the middle of the neck all the way past the headstock.
Set neck. Natural Color.
Thanks.
