I found one of these, a 66′ model, at the local mall here at a collector’s shop in which the owner clearly didn’t know his guitars, because he sold the Jazzmaster to me as well as the original case and amp for about two hundred bucks. It was a sparkle red color, with all original parts, minus the brand new GHS Boomer Strings. Face on him, hah!!

I agree with previous comments, very undervalued in modern figures.
I wouldn’t let go of this for less than 4 times his valuation.
I absolutely love the sound of a Jazzmaster. Shame they have such a useless vibrato, if not this would be my first choice guitar.

Personally I would punch someone in the throat if they touched my ‘63 Jazzmaster with a screwdriver.
8 thousand dollar …
8 thousand dollar guitar?LOL! I saw a 59 strat at Guitar Center for $45,000,and 63 was one of the good years for Fender, right before CBS,so even a 63 would be easily $25,000 in that shape.
How old is this? A …
How old is this? A ‘63 stratocaster in all original condition would run you 15,000 grand and upwards!
i think he …
i think he undervalued that guitar, it looked in amazing condition and had all the candy. I didn’t think he needed to add the little comment about the strat at the end either.
