I'm having a custom guitar built, and was wanting to buy a new amp to go with it. I know the tube amps will give you the best sound period, but which is the most affordable tube amp that will still give you a great vintage sound? Thanks in advance for any intel.

I'm thinking about getting a guitar soon, and I was thinking about getting a stratocaster. I thought it would be easy, but it isn't. There's all different ones from 50s, 60s, 70s etc. Whats the difference between those vintage ones and guitars made recently?

Now most people say umm electric guitar add distortion. I have an electric guitar and a little vintage amp thats tubed tied so it can't get too loud. I can up the distortion because i got a big fuzz box system a boss ME-50. I can pretty much adjust it ne way I want. I am looking for a really either screaming guitar meaning Van Halen while he bends the notes and uses the tremelo it makes a Wahh screaming sound. And I mean screaming like Nirvana style listen to some live concerts or a song in particular "dive" when the bass riff plays the guitar really screeches. I got a couple guitars *7 and you could say i am pretty serious at guitar and tabs aren't the solution. Any types to get these effects?
it's absouletly not the classic fender amp stacker because this thing is pretty damn big. And to be frank my fuzz box here boss me 50 was about 500 bucks when it first came out and i got it.

I have an LTD M-53, had it since summer. Recently I got a new pick up and when I had it put in i also had my guitar set up. Before it was set up, my bridge laid flat on the body, and now it is not (he set up my tremolo). It's all good, but now when I tune it to drop C (C-G-C-F-A-C), the bridge moves up so much that there is absolutely no action. The technician set it up to drop C but he thought it was (C-F-D-A#-D#-G-C). He said I should be ok tuning up, but apparently not. I don't want to go back to the technician as I don't want to make him undo the work he did (as well as I don't want to end up paying for this). Basically, how do I adjust the tremolo on my guitar so that it is laying flat the body? (I know that means I won't be able to pitch up but I don't care since it goes out of tune with it very easily.
With the set up, the technician put in new strings (12-guage), they are very very strong (my guitar is now in (A-E-A-D-G-B) tuning and has great action and tension). But I don't want to have to get rid of brand new strings and spend money on new ones.
